Older Adults Luncheon: Hansen Hall, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, First Thursday of the month.

An outreach Ministry of the Church of the Valley
Come one, come all. Bring a friend - bring two friends - the more the merrier. This is an outing where if you didn't bring a friend you will find one. We will have a program. There is fellowship, songs to sing and hot food to eat. What more could you want, on the first Thursday of the month than to renew old friendships at Hansen Hall at the Church of the Valley? Did you know that the Gallop Group has stated that it is at your neighborhood church where a small community gets even smaller because when you go to the store you will you will most likely meet a friendly face from your church?

We are a social group that meets during the fall, winter and spring. A small town gets smaller and friendlier if you allow yourself to get involved with a church and its programs. Most of us are empty nesters; however, we do have children at times and they are welcome. It should be noted that there is no requirement on being a specific age nor is there a requirement for a spouse. Please come and share a smile! We meet the third Wednesday of the month at around 5:30 pm in Hansen Hall.

Ephesians 2:10..'For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.'
Various ministries of COV volunteer their time working rummage in order to serve equally a pro-rata share of the proceeds. As such this ministry provides:
COV Youth with a source of funds to fund programs;
COV Boy Scouts with a source of funds to fund programs and uniforms for those in need.
Voyagers uses their funds to help local ministries inside and outside of the church: A Better Way (Battered Women); Moses House (unwed mothers); Meals on Wheels; The Lord's Table; Apple Valley Care Center; Set Free Ministries (a no-fee alcohol and drug rehab program); COV Scouts; and COV Youth.
Presbyterian Women typically give to the children of COV that have grown up within the church and have become missionaries.
Emanuel Care Center, a 501c3 non profit corporation representing the congregation of COV, in association with its Prison Fellowship Aftercare Ministry, provides funding to Set Free Ministries, PF Project Angel Tree, and children of incarcerated prisoners.
Meets 1st and 3rd Mondays, 8:00 am until noon, at Hansen Hall Short. If you love Jesus, this is an opportunity for you help Him serve our community. Come join us for fellowship and joy!!!
