1. To Glorify God by prioritizing time to worship God; both in what we say through praise, music, prayer and study, and in what we do through daily service to God and others. We will not lose sight that everything we do as a church is first and foremost for God and His Kingdom.

2. To give Jesus the central place in all we do as a church, which will in turn unify us as a community. The Bible promises that by keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, we can expect a greater spirit of unity as a result.

3. To seek to be Holy Spirit-empowered so that all members will be involved in using their spiritual gifts, heart, abilities, personality and experiences to serve one another by their God-designed shape.

4. To be Bible-based as we apply God's Truth to every aspect of our lives and learn to live by Biblical disciplines to mature to Christ-like character.

5. To be passionately committed to outreach and mission in a way that does not compromise the truth and transparently displays God's compassion to those around us in a way that points them to Jesus.

Church of the Valley affirms that we subscribe to the tenets of the Confessing Church Movement.
