Psalms of Ascent: Resilience in Adversity
Psalms 129:1-8
Speaker: Aaron Seeger
Having resilience in adversity means…
1. ……living with scars while walking in hope. (1-4)
Furrow: a trench in the earth made by a plow.
Scars don’t define us because the victory has already been won.
2. …resisting bitterness while letting God handle vengeance. (5-8)
Imprecatory Prayers: A type of petition asking God to enact judicial penalties against unrighteous opponents.
Resilience includes praying through pain, trusting God with the outcome.
3. Trust God through the adversity!
