Important Information

Welcome to Church of the Valley

THIS SUNDAY IN WORSHIP:Pastor Mike shares from Matthew 10:17-25 in the message "Living for Jesus." When we live for Jesus, we can expect others to treat us the way they treated Jesus. Many appreciate our actions and words for Him while others do not. Pastor Mike will discuss how to handle the reactions of people to how we live for Jesus.

NEXT SUNDAY IN WORSHIP:We worship all together in one service at 9:00 AM in Hansen Hall! After the worship, enjoy some refreshments from our Fellowship Ministry Team. Then at 10:30 AM, stay for our annual COV congregation meeting. We will discuss how we will change our affiliation from the PCUSA to the Evangelical Covenant Order of Presbyterians. We will also share vision and highlights for the ministry and mission of COV in 2012, the 2012 operating budget, and vote on new officers and the Pastor's Terms of Call.

COV NEWS FLASH! Last Tuesday, the Elder board of COV decided to take a giant step toward this new way forward. We voted that it was time to move on from the Presbyterian Church USA (PCUSA) and seek to join the Evangelical Covenant Order of Presbyterians. We urge all of you to attend our Annual Congregation meeting on Sunday, February 5 in Hansen Hall at 10:30 AM just after our combined and unified worship at 9:00 AM also in Hansen Hall. At that meeting we will share with you many details and steps to take to move forward. This will be an extremely important meeting for all of us of COV. Talk to Pastor Mike and some of our elders after the worship today in the front if you have questions or comments about this that you want us to know.

WEDNESDAYS IN THE WORD! Join Pastor Mike on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM in a new weekly study of God’s Truth for our lives. Meet in the Reading Room/Library and bring a Bible. We will start our study in Ephesians to discover the Lord’s intentions for a healthy, happy church and daily life.
