Welcome to Church of the Valley
THIS SUNDAY IN WORSHIP: examine with Pastor Mike the "Power in His Name", the name of Jesus Christ as found in Matthew 18:18-20. When we understand what it means to pray in the name of Jesus, we unleash tremendous power to change our lives and world. What do you think the Lord wants us to seriously pray about and get on board with Him so it can really happen? NEXT SUNDAY IN WORSHIP: we focus on God's grace to us and how we share with each other through forgiveness. Pastor Mike shares from Matthew 18:21-35 in the message "The Limit to God's Forgiveness." Is there a limit to how much we should forgive each other? Does God get limited in sharing His mercy towards people when they rejet Him?MINISTRY AND SEASONAL OPPORTUNITIESIMPORTANT COV NEWS! The Session of Church of the Valley in Apple Valley CA voted unanimously to recommend to the COV membership that the Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians (ECO) would be the Reformed Body to which it would transfer from the PCUSA. This vote has been delayed for months due to the Synod of Southern CA & Hawaii PJC decision not to recognize the ECO, but that decision is reasonably expected to be overturned in the next few months. We made this decision with joy and with prayer that we can move forward in this direction as soon as the way is clear.
